Who We Are
|TFP Student Action traditional marriage caravan at the Grand Canyon, Sept.|
TFP Student Action is a project of the American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property. Founded in 1973, the American TFP was formed to resist, in the realm of ideas, the liberal, socialist and communist trends of the times and proudly affirm the positive values of tradition, family and private property. The American TFP was inspired by the work of the Brazilian intellectual and man of action Prof. Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira.
What We Do
Networking with thousands of students and concerned parents, TFP Student Action defends traditional moral values on college campuses. Inspired by the teachings of the Holy Catholic Church, TFP volunteers are on the front lines of the culture war, working to restore the values of Christian civilization.
TFP activities are carried out by 75 full-time volunteers and have the support of 120,000 members nationwide. The director of TFP Student Action is John Ritchie.
Our activities include:
Activism on campus
TFP Student Action networks with college students on more than 719 college campuses and tackles hot-button issues that are at the forefront of the moral and cultural debate of the day. Volunteers frequently travel to campuses across America to distribute pro-family literature, sponsor talks, and protest productions such as the vulgar V-Monologues play.
TFP on the front lines (video)
If you are looking for a world-class event, you should consider joining the TFP at its next international student conference in Europe. Many students return year after year for a inspiring program of lectures and sightseeing. Read about last year's conference.
Do online petitions really work? Yes, they do. In fact, YouTube yanked dozens of videos showing blasphemous desecrations of the Holy Eucharist thanks to a TFP petition signed by 18,200 Catholics, and Notre Dame finally dropped the charges against 88 pro-lifers thanks, in part, to more than 20,000 petitions sent to Fr. John Jenkins.
This section offers our readers a selection of TFP books and publications, including complimentary downloads and fliers ready to print, perfect for distribution on campus.
Call to Chivalry camps
"Youth was made not for pleasure, but for heroism" is the spirit of the TFP Call to Chivalry camps for boys. Crusader Saints and heroes are true role models, unlike the false ones presented by Hollywood. Read about our camp.
The TFP intern program equips young Catholic men with the means to stand firm against the winds of our times and become leaders of opposition against the profound moral crisis shaking every aspect of American life.
The Academy seeks to make of the Catholic boy a Catholic gentleman. Founded in 1995, the Saint Louis de Montfort Academy is an independent boarding school for boys and is staffed by TFP volunteers.
America Needs Fatima
America Needs Fatima (ANF) is a TFP campaign to spread the Fatima message in the United States. The goal of America Needs Fatima is to win the heart and soul of America for the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
