Catholic College Keeps Pro-Abortion Links Up Despite 15,000 Complaints

Is political correctness
above the right to life?

Well over 15,000 students and parents have politely requested that Alverno College, a Catholic college sponsored by the School Sisters of St. Francis, delete several web site links that channel students to abortion advocacy groups.  However, despite the large number of complaints the links remain up and running.

Make this protest grow – SIGN HERE

Call Alverno College to protest:

414-382-6064

Pro-abortion groups now listed under “resources” include:
  • Center for Reproductive Health
  • National Organization for Women (NOW)
  • EMILY’s List, and many more

The complete list of objectionable web sites can be accessed here.
http://depts.alverno.edu/rcwg/resources.html

Radical Women is another group currently featured.  This organization bills itself as “a trailblazing socialist feminist organization,” and its web site not only promotes communist ideology and homosexual vice, but also the brutal abortion procedure known as partial birth abortion.

After TFP Student Action started its peaceful protest in June, Alverno College merely removed a few links and posted a disclaimer stating: “The views expressed in these weblinks do not necessarily reflect the views of the Alverno College Research Center for Women and Girls.”

To TFP Student Action members and protesters this disclaimer is window dressing.

The Protest Continues

TFP Student Action will continue and intensify its protest until all the pro-abortion links are gone.  The average webmaster could remove these links with ease in five minutes. Rosemont College and the University of Detroit Mercy (both Catholic) recently took down links to pro-abortion groups on their web sites. Yet Alverno College has not done so, thus giving scandal to students who are faithful to Catholic teaching on abortion.

Spread the word: Everyone is asked to respectfully speak out against this scandal, to be the voice of the unborn that clamor for justice, and oppose the sin of abortion. Ask Alverno College to delete every pro-abortion group on its web site today.

I hope this is a success. How can a college call itself Catholic and promote abortion is beyond understanding.

I think a lot of these colleges should no longer be allowed to call themselves Catholic. The Bishops could do more on this. In NY Marist college is not allowed to call itself a Catholic College.

I fully support the TFP Student Action protest against the pro-abortion links on the school's website. Catholic Colleges and Universities need to reject this voyage into progressive liberalism and stand with the tenets of the Catholic Church. Those who wish to jump on the denying of my Civil Rights bandwagon can easy go and goggle the information.

I too am praying for the success of this campaign. And I am sure those who will be taking part in the 40 Days for Life campaign will be praying also. Are the Bishops speaking out against this????
