How the Homosexual Movement Infiltrates Catholic Colleges and Subverts the Truth

TFP Student Action urges students, parents, and concerned Americans to respond with prayer and peaceful protest.

To determine the scope of the moral crisis affecting Catholic institutions of higher learning, TFP Student Action volunteers examined the official web sites of 244 Catholic universities and colleges in America.  The results are alarming.

See the list of clubs here

After careful research, the TFP survey discovered that 101 (41%) of Catholic universities and colleges currently list pro-homosexual student clubs on their web sites. Among Jesuit-run universities, however, the number increases to 100%.  Many of these clubs sponsor events that promote the homosexual movement’s most radical agenda, the redefinition of marriage and the social acceptance of unnatural vice, which is contrary to Catholic moral teaching.

Here are some illustrative examples:

  • Georgetown University, America’s oldest Catholic University, established an LGBTQ Resource Center.  Its activities include National Coming Out Week, Gender Liberation Week, Pride Week and Lavender Graduation, among other anti-Catholic events.
  • This fall semester, Seton Hall University, the oldest diocesan university in America, started a course called “The Politics of Gay Marriage.” The course uses pro-homosexual literature and is given by a homosexual activist professor.
  • Earlier this year, the University of Notre Dame sponsored a “Stand Against Hate Week.”  The week-long event sponsored pro-homosexual speakers and screened objectionable movies.

“When Catholic students enroll at Catholic universities, their faith should be strengthened.  But unfortunately, their faith is often weakened by the presence of pro-homosexual clubs and immoral events,” said TFP Student Action director John Ritchie.  “Just like abortion, homosexual vice is part of the culture of death.  It should be opposed, not promoted.”

“The homosexual movement is careful to advance slowly to avoid pushback. ‘Dialogue,’ ‘tolerance’ and ‘diversity’ are just tools to reach a final stage: sexual anarchy,” he said.  “When you drop a frog into boiling water, it jumps right out. But when you put the same frog in lukewarm water and increase the temperature slowly, the frog cooks to death without reacting. So, we need to speak up in charity and truth before it's too late.”

Compared to similar research conducted in 2009, this year’s study found that the number of pro-homosexual clubs slightly increased in 2010, from 96 to 101.

Urgent Appeal to Catholic Educators: Promote Purity

The dictatorship of relativism and its stifling political correctness have long infiltrated the halls of academia, including Catholic classrooms, where the homosexual movement works hard to warp the moral conscience of upcoming generations, and thus, move society away from God.

Therefore, it is vital to encourage Catholic educators and leaders, students and parents to boldly defend the truth and reject the homosexual agenda.  We must peacefully call for the disbanding of pro-homosexual clubs on Catholic campuses.  Purity is the answer -- a solution that needs to be highlighted, repeated and proclaimed.

In fact, God’s grace is working in souls.  More and more students are rejecting the lies of the sexual revolution and embracing the virtues of purity, modesty and abstinence.  Millions of teenagers and college students are choosing to remain virgins until marriage.

In his address to Catholic educators at the Catholic University of America in April 2008, Pope Benedict XVI said:

Teachers and administrators, whether in universities or schools, have the duty and privilege to ensure that students receive instruction in Catholic doctrine and practice. This requires that public witness to the way of Christ, as found in the Gospel and upheld by the Church's Magisterium, shapes all aspects of an institution's life, both inside and outside the classroom. Divergence from this vision weakens Catholic identity and, far from advancing freedom, inevitably leads to confusion, whether moral, intellectual or spiritual.

To help stem the tide of this growing confusion, TFP Student Action is launching an online protest, urging the presidents and administrators of Catholic universities to restore the Catholic identity of their institutions.

TFP Student Action has no intention to defame or disparage anyone with this campaign. We do not harbor personal hatred against any individual. By intellectually opposing individuals or organizations promoting the homosexual agenda, our only intent is to defend marriage, the family, Catholic education, and the precious remnants of Christian civilization in society.

Finding Solutions: Pray and Act

There are three ways to join this effort:

  1. Pray and sign the petition.
  2. Spread the word to make this effort snowball.
  3. Send the Prayer for Purity to every student you know

Traditional marriage must be protected as a religious sacrament and a religious right. Our children need to be taught to follow the Catholic doctrine and the laws of God. Teaching acceptance of homosexuality in the guise of diversity is a misconception and deception that Satan wants. Thanks for your work and outreach!

"Love"?, "life-style"? Give us a break! The act and sin of homosexuality is worse than bestiality, where only one soul is affected.

September 22nd 1990 we visited Medjugorje for the 2nd time. Ivan Dragicevic one of the seers was answering questions posed by a group of pilgrims. A question was what about the schools nowadays. He said : "Our Lady says about that : that not a single school is able to educate, teach and rear children as the parents can AT HOME. In Schools, colleges, at universities they ruin and break down everything the parents thought them". And I say Our lady is right. I have been to Catholic University, I have been to a freemason College. But I am a fighter, and it only made me stronger in my faith and my love for the Lord. Mi ca el = Who is as God !!!!!!! Any "Catholic" University that does not use the "CATCECHISM of the CATHOLIC CHURCH, Second Edition" as a Student Text as part of the core curriculum for first or second year students, should NOT be permitted to use the name Catholic. Universities that try to keep this Doctrine of the Faith from Students, allow student error, professor error. and enemies of the Church to propagate lies. Homosexual ACTS are a MORTAL Sin and can NEVER be approved. CCC: 2357-2359.

The "CCC 2nd Ed" (first published in USA in March 2000, with dark green cover) is the ONLY catechism from the Church Magesterium -including 2 Popes. The Holy See holds the copyright. ALL Catholics are REQUIRED to adhere to everything in this CCC, since it contains the Catholic Doctrine regarding Faith and Morals. It is a sure norm for teaching the Faith. Be sure to quote it (with nothing out of context) whenever needing ammunition against University Professors and false Catholic Theologians. Remember that the Bishop is in charge over Catholic Universities in his own Diocese, and he has recourse with assistance from the Vatican if necessary. Also, see the Vatican web site regarding Bishops care of homosexuals.

It is important to make it clear that it is out of Love and respect for the Dignity of every human person that The Catholic Church teaches we must never condone homosexual sexual acts or any sexual act that demeans the Dignity of the human person.

When asked why we believe homosexual acts are wrong, I find a good answer to be.

"Incest, pedophilia, bestiality, homosexuality, etc. Are all wrong for the same reason. Because G-d said so."

Very few people are willing to bite the philosophical bullet and declare that all those acts are acceptable, and the ones who do alienate other people that might be willing side with the homosexual agenda.

It works for me.

Please follow the laws of God which do NOT include condoning immoral behavior such as homosexual activities and clubs encouraging this.

These people rather need HELP in overcoming this aberrant behavior and confessing their sin and turning their lives around.

We can chat all we want, but ultimately this issue lies with the Bishops of the Diocese where those universities are located.

Look, as Catholics, we are faced with the very real difficulty of not only defending our faith, but actually defending reason, and doing so with Charity. This is both a tremendous challenge, and an indispensably worthy enterprise. We have an obligation to say without prejudice, "I love you as a person, and I desire your holiness, but the Church in her wisdom teaches that that behavior is sinful."

With the utmost compassion, we should recognize that homosexual desires are a real cross, and that every single person with those desires needs healing affirmation of their own dignity and worth. This is the only way that we can bring people to recognize that, as the Church teaches, homosexuality is "inherently disordered", without dismissing us as hateful bigots. These are deeply wounded people, and Christ can heal them, just as he heals any other sinner.

If you look at it based on logic what marriage between a man and woman (union/communion of persons) is/does for society is not the same as two same gender persons...so to call them both marriage is a lie, a fallacy the union of a man and woman is life giving while the others are impotent. They will NEVER be the same even if some politicians try to claim they are.

Name calling (queer, homophobe, etc.) will only enrage people against one another. As Catholics, we do have the duty to "admonish the sinner". I firmly believe that people are born with an inate attraction to people of their own sex. Others have a "same-sex" experience, and it is pleasurable, thus they are drawn to homosexuality. If you are a practicing Catholic, you accept the teachings of the Church, as reflected by the teachings of the Bible. However, more important than "admonishing the sinner" is the need for prayer for those who are trying to cope with the fact that (for whatever reason) they are different. If we simply offer a prayer instead of expousing a "better than thou" attitude, we would be serving God and our fellow man in a positive way. Pray for those who need our prayers! This is our primary responsibility as practicing Catholics.
