"A specter is haunting Europe -- the specter of communism." This is the famous opening line of the Manifesto of the Communist Party written by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels in 1848. This sentence could be paraphrased today: "A specter is haunting America -- the specter of socialism."
Is Communism Really Dead?
Communism is only an extreme form of socialism. After the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, many thought communism was dead and could be relegated to the dustbin of history. However, it is hard to support this assertion.
In fact, although the political power of communism and socialism has declined, it is undeniable that its cultural manifestations are now at a peak. Therefore, one cannot affirm that socialism or communism died.
Much more important than the political expansion of communism and socialism is the spreading of ideas and customs that are leading the world to abandon the natural order and Christian civilization. Such ideas and customs can be seen everywhere with campaigns in favor of abortion, euthanasia, same-sex “marriage,” and other moral aberrations.
But someone might ask: “What do these moral issues have to do with socialism?”
A Theoretical Approach
In more abstract terms, the answer to this question is this: pride and unbridled sensuality break down intellectual and moral barriers that preserve the order established by God in the universe, thus opening the gates for the progress of socialism. In turn, socialism provides philosophical systematization and political support for such practices.[1]
In other words, everything that favors immorality on one hand, or the revolt against any inequality on the other, ipso facto fosters the advancement of socialism. Conversely, socialism favors these same unrestrained evil tendencies of fallen man, masking them under the façade of a pseudo-philosophy and pseudo-science.
The Facts Speak for Themselves
It is no coincidence that, upon coming to power, socialist parties try to implement the homosexual agenda, promote or facilitate abortion, impose stringent “hate crime” laws, or advance other “politically correct” causes.
Recent examples include:
Portugal: Portuguese parliament passed a socialist-sponsored bill legalizing same-sex “marriage.” Last year, abortion was also introduced.
Spain: Same-sex “marriage” and abortion were recently legalized by the Socialist government lead by Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero.
England: The same measures mentioned above were introduced by Tony Blair’s Labor Party.
Brazil: President Lula (Workers Party) just signed Presidential Decree No. 7,037 on December 21, 2009. The decree calls for the expansion of abortion, homosexual “rights,” state control, and other socialist features.
As the whole world moves almost imperceptibly toward socialism, America is also following the trend.

The only other thing we should add to facts about Socialism is that socialists will lie to get what they want. And we hear their lies about the "benefits" of their economic insanity every day in the media. A good job of teaching, I will be forwarding to friends.

A lot of people from my country are really fed up with this man, because he is destroying Catholic morals and encouraging mothers to kill to their own sons... By his fault, Spaniards can't defend our History nor our Catholic identity, and now he's the laughing stock of Europe...

How true!
However, DO MOST parents these days (Catholic, OR not!) actually TEACH their children WHO God is, LET ALONE, what the Rosary or PRAYER is FOR, OR even less, HOW to use it?
If PARENTS don't place importance on prayer, HOW are the youth supposed to see it as important enough to continue prayer THEIR lives?
This attitude teaches, that it's a boring and meaningless activity (soccer practice? Oh ya! Certainly can't be late for THAT! COACH wouldn't be happy!)
Does anybody EVER stop to think that
G O D wouldn't be 'happy' when HE doesn't come first in our lives?
Do any of us recognize ourselves in this description?
EVIDENCE speaks for itself in BOLD self-serving, self-glorifying BEHAVIOR and ATTITUDES, NEVER before expressed (in children!) in history!

I knew that communist is not dead yet because Holy Father and Bishops of the world did not say Russia by name in 1984. Please, pray for the Pope and Bishops of the world to say Russia by NAME before it is too late.
