March for Marriage 2013

On March 26, the Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in the Hollingsworth v. Perry case, which will determine if Proposition 8 – the 2008 ballot initiative protecting marriage in California – is constitutional or not.

The outcome of the Supreme Court's decision will impact the future of marriage not only in California, but also nationwide.  So much hangs in the balance because it will be like the Roe v. Wade moment of marriage in America.  For that reason, it is important for pro-family Americans everywhere to join the March for Marriage in Washington, D.C.

Get more information here:

On Capitol Hill, in front of the Supreme Court, we will proclaim the truth loud and clear: that God-ordained marriage between husband and wife is sacred and must not be redefined.  We will rally to demonstrate how a growing number of Americans are uniting to defend the sanctity of marriage.

The march is being organized by the National Organization for Marriage (NOM) alongside a broad coalition of pro-family organizations and leaders, including the TFP.

"No one has ever organized a national march for marriage before in this country," stated Brian Brown, president of the National Organization for Marriage.

"This year, you have a chance to be part of history," he said, "because we are not waiting for the Supreme Court to trample on marriage or our rights to vote for marriage before taking action!  Now is our time to make history happen!"

Another word for it: unnatural and wrong.

Sorry cannot attend, we are having the same fight here in Australia which is going through parliament next month for debate in both houses. What really saddens me is to see how Catholics have joined in with the "in" crowd and cast away their faith so that they can belong to the world, even priests have given in and joined that crowd. So much, to own the world, and to lose one's soul.

Alan remember that Satan is the master deceiver. Saint Catherine of Siena, a religious mystic of the 14th century, relays words of Our Lord Jesus Christ about the vice against nature, which contaminated part of the clergy in her time. Referring to sacred ministers, He says: “They not only fail from resisting this frailty [of fallen human nature] … but do even worse as they commit the cursed sin against nature. Like the blind and stupid, having dimmed the light of their understanding, they do not recognize the disease and misery in which they find themselves. For this not only causes Me nausea, but displeases even the demons themselves, whom these miserable creatures have chosen as their lords. For Me, this sin against nature is so abominable that, for it alone, five cities were submersed, by virtue of the judgment of My Divine Justice, which could no longer bear them…...”

real marriage recognises the difference between men and women. Legalising same sex - marriage will increase confusion about what it means to be a man or a women and removes natural conception from the idea of marriage. We must protect real marriage because it protects children in the womb. Statistics show that unborn babies are four to five times more likely to be aborted outside real marriage. Research also shows overwhelmingly that overall, children do better in terms of health, happiness and education when brought up by their married, biological opposite-sex parents. Acceptance of same-sex marriage will impact lives of countless people, who will be persecuted and prosecuted when speaking out against it. Weakening marriage is in no-one's interests. Strengthening marriage is in everyone's interests. The stability of society and well-being of its members are inextricably linked with the good of natural marriage.

Great Job
“Go forth and set the world on fire.” ― St. Ignatius of Loyola

Marriage should be honoured by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral. Hebrews 13:4

Saint Ignatius of Antioch gives this solemn warning: Do not be mistaken, my brothers. those who corrupt families will not inherit the kingdom of God.

‟Many marriages are not good; they do not please Our Lord and are not of God.” — Our Lady of Fatima.

Wouldn't it be an even better strategy to convince young, faithful, practicing Catholics to become lawyers and legislators, instead of allowing latent homosexuals and atheists to continue their take over of the judicial system in America? Obviously this is a long term strategy, but would prove even more fruitful for the coming generations.

I wish I could attend to show opposition to same sex "marriage". God's plan has always been marriage between a MAN and a WOMAN. Let's help protect our moral values and the values of Our Catholic Church.

God bless you all.

God made Adam and Eve, not Steve. Marriage is one man and one woman. That's in God's eye.

A marriage is between one man and one woman. Anything else is not a marriage. Lets all help together to protect our values as a Catholic church.

My ex through our marriage 23 yrs abused and cheated dateline escort services. I just left with my children 5 months ago to a shelter. Going to court march 15. God does understand abuse and doesn't want you to live like that. My catholic parish priest said get out for your safety.
Thank you.
