Free speech is less free in Arkansas. In fact, volunteers with Tradition Family and Property (TFP—Louisiana) were recently attacked in Little Rock during a peaceful rally against Obamacare and its HHS mandate. The incident occurred on July 17.

Man Targets American flag
At the McCain Mall in North Little Rock, a middle-aged man came up from behind the group as they calmly prayed the rosary. First he said, “Praise be Mary,” giving the impression he was friendly. Next he shouted, “Get the hell out of here!” and rushed our American flag bearer Elias Bartel, knocking him off his feet with a violent blow. Old Glory fell over, but not completely because the 19-foot flag pole caught a power line on the way down and was quickly recovered and set upright again.
“I was pretty shocked… The first thing he did was target the American flag. He wanted to throw it on the ground,” said Bartel. “What he did was beyond disrespect.”
Second attack
The attacker did not stop there. Without pause, he immediately assaulted our second volunteer, Jesus Guerra, who was holding the TFP banner which displays a rampant lion and the motto: “Tradition, Family, and Property.” As the video clearly shows, our young volunteer was pushed with such violence that he fell backward onto a fire hydrant. The banner also fell.
“I’m bruised, but not about to give up,” Guerra remarked. “The attacker’s behavior reflects the socialist mindset: if they can’t win the debate, they bully you. If they can’t silence the Church on moral values, they use mandates and intimidation.”
As TFP—Louisiana member Cesar Franco dialed 911, the assailant smacked the phone out of his hand. Finally, the police arrived and a report was made.
A woman who witnessed the attack approached and asked for a flyer, Confronting Religious Persecution in America. She told Zechariah Long how great she thought TFP volunteers responded to the aggressor.
The 14-member team is currently touring other Southern cities where the reception has been excellent. Their message alerts the public about the persecution being brought against the Catholic Church by the Health and Human Services mandate and points to the root problem: socialism.
Following the example set by Bishop Jenky of Peoria, Illinois, who called upon Saint Michael the Archangel in the fight for the rights of the Church, TFP—Louisiana volunteers have placed their tour under his powerful patronage. The attack did not hinder the progress of the TFP caravan. However, it does follow a troubling pattern documented in the video Attacked by “Tolerance.”
If you are an attorney in the Little Rock, and are willing to represent the TFP volunteers who were attacked, please contact Cesar Franco at cfranco@tfp.org

justice is served. I am tired of seeing
and hearing about left wing crazies getting away with murder - their violence, lies, ignoring laws, etc. We must fight
back and continue to fight back. No wimping out.
This is to the young men assaulted. Call the police and provide the video. Demand a report be written for battery and tell them you want to press charges. You have his license and his image on video, so the coward will be easy for the police to locate. Press charges and pursue justice. Keep up the good work. The majority in this country is behind you!
unprovoked work of the evil man who is an agent of satan himself. But since we
are followers of one greater than any power anywhere, what harm can come to us?
So lets not get upset over such annoying
incidents, but revoke Divine Assistance to deal with them. God Bless you.
Look for the Union Label at the local cop shop and you will find either this guy or people who know exactly who this guy is.
Lastly, what is the 4th Commandment? Hint: The Hebrew word for "honor" is translated here "glorify". As in "glorify your father and mother." Who do you think best exemplifies this commandment?
Jesus perhaps? He certainly glorified His Father. Are we supposed to follow His example? Whose DNA do you suppose is in Jesus' body? Fully God. Fully man.
Before I answer your question, allow me to propose a challenge to you. Where does the bible say everything we believe and do must be found in the bible, and how do you know which books belong in the bible apart from tradition? I assert Sola Scriptura is itself a non-biblical man made tradition developed in the 16th century.
Luke Chapter 1 - Elizabeth, filled with the holy Spirit,
cried out in a loud voice and said, "Most blessed are you among women"
"from now on will all ages call me blessed"
John 19: Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother.” And from that hour the disciple took her into his home.
"Honor your father and mother"
end of 1st part
Revelation 12:1 a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.
who is this woman? She gave birth to a son, a male child, destined to rule all the nations with an iron rod.* Her child was caught up to God and his throne.
Sounds like the mother of our Lord to me and not just me but most of the early church fathers who were passing on the tradition before the New Testament was formally canonized, But I doubt you will accept my biblical exegesis or the testimony of the early church fathers. The fallacy of your question, even though "biblical evidence" is provided for the practice, you do not accept as a "biblical" practice, because it does not fit your own theological TRADITION.
Do you believe Jesus is greater than Solomon ( I hope so he says he is), then read 1 Kings 2:19
May God the father bless you
Regarding the Rosary it was given to St. Dominic (1170 – 1221) from heaven back when your ancestors were still Catholic (or possibly pagan).
Jesus taught us to honor our mother and father. So logic bring us to the conclusion that we should honor His Mother and Father as well. Jesus made it a point , while hanging on the cross, to share His mother with us, this is why we call on her as our Lady. She is our mother too.
I'd also like to see if Chicago and Boston will only allow businesses that profess in public to be pro-homosexual. Re: Chic-Fil-A CEO professing to support the biblical definition of marriage and having mayors of the respective cities say they will block any new Chic-Fil-A restaurants from being built in "their" cities.
When you pray the rosary, you are contemplating Jesus' life, it's biblical.
When Mary visits Elizabeth (Elizabeth, inspired by the Holy Spirit says,"Hail Mary, Blessed are you among women and blessed is thy fruit of your womb Jesus". What is "Blessed" Joe? It means full of God's grace. "Hail" that's how they addressed royalty. She is our Queen, we do not glorify her, we venerate her and give her the same respect God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit give her, for doing His will.
Joe are you doing God's will?
I suspect you see yourself favorably and stink of a self-congratulating attitude after making comments liket you made, common to liberal progressives. You may think you're shrewd in your thinking by attempting to "debunk" faith and prayer to Mary (and probably Christianity in general), but you excluded incorporating the simplest fact: People with FAITH naturally offer and give thanks and praise to those people or things they have in their lives that are good (or sometimes hardships---crosses to bear which strengthen their character).
In light of these facts, people like you spend time to make feeble attempts to deconstruct the desire fof others to "pray the Rosary." Progressive-liberalism is a sad illness because it breaks down society, law, and human spirit.
Unless this is stopped someone will be seriously injured. No one wants that.
As a former police officer I hope this person was not in anyway connected with local law enforcement.
There is nothing wrong with carrying a tight grain 2x2 wood, fir sign, just in case it is needed for defending myself. I just don't do the pansy, martyr thing very well; especially when a companion of mine gets assaulted!
Oh, and I can guarantee, this guy was looking for a fight and a reaction, anything to get his cop buddies out there to arrest these guys.
If this is a true assault the victim should have defended himself and his fellow organization members should have come to his assistance. They could have used proportional physical force and made a citizens arrest on the alleged perpetrator.
I am not a member of TFP myself, but I've been keeping up with their activities for YEARS and read nearly all their articles and email updates.
Let me assure you, ALAN, that these TFP members are ANYTHING BUT "pansies."
Regards & Peace,

Let's pray for peace, understanding and
most importantly forgiveness.
After all, that's what Jesus did.

We thank God that Mr. Guerra was not more seriously injured. He could have broken his back.
