Caught on video: Vandals trash traditional marriage signs in Maine |

Is this what tolerance means? You decide.
During a recent tour for traditional marriage in Maine, volunteers with The American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property (TFP) saw pro-marriage yard signs get unlawfully removed or destroyed by pro-homosexual advocates.
Some of the unsettling incidents occurred on Congress Street, downtown Portland, from October 29—31 and were caught on video.
The blue and yellow yard signs read: “Don’t redefine marriage. Vote NO on question one. Marriage = 1 man + 1 woman.”
Same-sex “marriage” advocates ignored state law which protects such signs: “A person who takes, defaces or disturbs a lawfully placed sign bearing political messages relating to a general election, primary election or referendum commits a civil violation for which a forfeiture of up to $250 may be adjudged.” (§1917-A. “Free speech is just about dead in some parts of Portland,” said TFP Student Action Director John Ritchie.
“Every time our volunteers put up yard signs in favor of traditional marriage on Congress Street, pro-homosexual advocates damaged or destroyed them. In less than five minutes, the signs were all vandalized. When new ones went up, those were trashed too,” he said. “We found zero tolerance. Zero fairness. Zero free speech.”
However, TFP volunteers were very well received in other cities including Augusta, Auburn, Lewiston, Scarborough, Saco, Biddeford and Old Orchard Beach where they held rallies in defense of marriage between one man and one woman and distributed 10 Reasons Why Same-Sex "Marriage" Is Harmful fliers.

Despicable people who want freedom to do whatever they want, but want to deny others the freedom to do what they want if it does not coincide with their interests.
The problem is that liberals don't believe in "Free Speech" unless someone is saying something they agree with. They also like it if you put down Yahweh(God). They are becoming truly vile animals completely absorbed by the "self". I've been reading my bible daily and am still trying to find where it says we're supposed to pray for these godless thugs....because it's hard not to just want to flog them. It's amazing to see the hate on most of their faces. I also think charges should be filed on each of these people if it can be done.
it is amazing that you would play the role of apologist for these criminals. Aren't people like them and obviously you always screaming about "live and let live"? How are they adhering to such "tolerance"? "Live and let live" applies to religious, conservative folks as well as it does for the pro-LGBT crowd. If you want to be tolerated and accepted, then you must first lead by example. It is my fondest hope that TFP takes this video to the police and has these criminals prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Answer: Those who stand in defence of children. Those who know that adults should not be allowed to forfeit the rights of children to suit themselves under ANY circumstance by stripping them of their basic fundamental rights to have their own mother or father which homosexuals cannot provide in any single case. Manufacturing a child does not make you a parent or equal to marriage which is: 'An exclusive union between ONE man and ONE woman entered into freely for life to the EXCLUSION of all others.' I don't get why that is so hard to understand. Sexual preferences and relationships based on sex never were a forefront for marriage. It has always been centered around children. Still is, to those of us defending it!

And only an idiot would take the wickets too, especially with these plastic signs. Tell your friend with the sideburns, sunglasses and trench coat that he reminded me of Michael Palin.
I might point out that it makes no difference whether signs might be placed before a school of art OR in front of a church. While the ACLU and others will howl, the 1st Amendment still GUARANTEES the right of citizens to express their views on public property.
How sad that these different people would abuse their own rights in such a way.

Christians, as with any other group, are allowed to say and write what we believe. I will NOT back down and I will NOT be bullied into being silent. Being tolerant is a 2 way street. When Christians are bullied, physically attacked, and verbally abused no one screams intolerance or hate, no one stands up for them. But when ANY other group is offended everyone else is right there to help defend them. God help America. I'm praying for all. Fight on Christian Soldiers!!!
