VIDEO: Pro-Homosexuals at Brown University Respond to Peaceful TFP Rally with Violence

Update -- 04-19-11:  YouTube is still silent on the motives that led them to remove our video. However, we reposted the video on another server.   The video documents how same-sex “marriage” advocates assaulted us and attempted to destroy our banner.   Please forward it to all your friends.  Post it.  Share it.  Blog it.

Update -- 03/29/11:
YouTube removed our video of this campaign at Brown without any explanation.

Original Report

What we faced today at Brown University, an Ivy League university, had the flavor of a religious persecution. As we peacefully campaigned, about 250 frenzied pro-homosexual students gathered to scream, spit, taunt, insult, assault, and even attempt to destroy our traditional marriage banner. Only with supernatural protection, and a strong police presence, did TFP volunteers manage to complete the campaign without serious injury.

On the front lines for traditional marriage

Situated in the heart of campus, Brown's central quad looked like a good spot to set up our campaign. As we strolled onto campus, the silence was shattered by a long, loud "Nooooooo, not at Brown!" After raising the American flag, TFP Standard and banner on the central quad, dozens of students gathered to take in the sight and snap photos on their cell phones. Also, one could not miss a large rainbow flag hanging from one of the campus buildings nearby. It was like a mini-Berkeley.

traditional marriage.

Suddenly, a loud thud-rip noise was heard. I looked up and saw a pro-homosexual student literally crashing through our traditional marriage banner, attempting to destroy it. Running at top speed, he flung himself into it and ripped one side loose. Some students watching from a distance approvingly cheered the act of violence. Then two women kissed in front of our banner to the applause of liberal onlookers.

"Why are you here?" many students asked. We politely told them how the TFP was on a state-wide tour defending traditional marriage. They would just stand there in a sort of daze, and repeat the question again: "But why are you here?" Some of them just couldn't believe it.

Soon, two campus police officers asked us to move to the public sidewalk, forty yards away. We promptly complied with their request and continued the campaign on the intersection of Waterman and Brown.

Student: No objection to pedophilia

TFP volunteer Mr. Danniel Pribble debated with one pro-homosexual student, illustrating how the acceptance of homosexual vice leads to the acceptance of pedophilia. In fact, during a recent session in Canadian parliament, experts claimed that pedophilia is a "sexual orientation."

"What moral grounds do you stand on to oppose pedophilia, once you've accepted homosexual behavior?" asked Mr. Pribble. "You're right," answered the student. "I don't have any substantive objection with pedophilia."

More police officers arrived and playfully told Mr. Charles Sulzen, our bagpiper: "You can stay as long as you keep playing the bagpipes..."

TFP Student Action defending traditional marriage at Brown University

Students repeatedly approached our members with the same comment: "You're very brave for coming here." Watching the out-of-control behavior of dozens of pro-homosexual students, a gentleman on the sidewalk remarked: "They want tolerance. But they can swear, spit and scream all they want..."

As Mr. James Bascom distributed pro-family literature, a woman with a rainbow ribbon on her lapel said: "You're being so intolerant!"

"Why don't you tolerate us?" inquired Mr. Bascom. "So tolerance is a one-way street, then?"

"Yes, yes. It is," said the woman. It became amply clear that free speech at Brown University is not free and that the opposition would do everything they could to silence our message of truth: that marriage is between one man, and one woman.

He spat in TFP volunteer's face

Last week, pro-homosexual students held a protest against traditional marriage at the same location where we were now standing. Most of their signs included the word "equality." However, they clearly wanted to impede our right to equally assemble. "...They had their event last week," observed one of the police officers, "so what's wrong with your being here? I am totally with you."

By now, the number of pro-homosexual students increased to about 250. The pitch of their screaming intensified too, and in the chaos, one of our youngest volunteers, Zachariah Long, 17, was spat upon in the face. "What do I do with this on my face?" asked Zachariah. "Get it out of your eyes," said Mr. John Miller. He wiped the spittle off his face, then reported the incident to a police officer standing nearby. "Yea, I can tell," said the policeman. "It looks pretty bad. If you point him out to me right now, I will lock him up immediately." But the aggressor ran away. Patting Zachariah on the shoulder, the officer continued: "Let's file a report. We'll get him."

Approaching Zachariah, one student said: "Can I shake your hand? Because it takes a lot of courage to be out here." Another added: "This is great! But, I'm going to go right now before something happens. Keep up the good fight. Thanks for being here. It takes a lot of guts. It's really brave."

More debates...

Brown student: "Don't take their flier. The Catholic Church is against it."

TFP volunteer: "If you're Catholic, you'd know what the Church teaches. The 10 Commandments didn't change."

Brown: "No! That's outdated. Religion is just for the masses."

TFP: "Well, I guess you agree with Karl Marx."

Brown: "If you talk to Father so and so, he'll tell you that he's in favor of same-sex 'marriage.'"

TFP: "If he does, then he's not faithful to the teachings of the Church."

On the other side of the intersection, Mr. Leo Fitzsimmons, a TFP supporter, explained why marriage is important: "marriage produces children. And there's no future without marriage. Same-sex 'marriage' does not produce children." This simple reality befuddled the student who responded with profanities. "God bless America," responded Mr. Fitszimmons. The young student, who looked like an American, was so upset that she yelled, "I'm not American!"

Police escort to our vans

Seeing the violent attitude of the pro-homosexual students, the police chief wanted to escort us to our van and ensure our safe departure. After completing the 1 hour and 30 minute rally in its entirety, we prayed three Hail Marys, shouted our motto "Tradition Family Property – America" and left. Policemen surrounded us on all sides and were assisted by a patrol vehicle on the street. A rowdy group of approximately 250 pro-homosexual advocates attempted to break through the perimeter to harass us. Without ceasing, they screamed obscenities and yelled in chorus over and over again: "God loves gays!"

RI-Caravan-Brown-04

I never saw a more frenzied collection of students before.

Thank God, the police protected us as we packed our vans. But when we pulled away from the curb, many pro-homosexual students closed in to hit the sides of our vehicles with their fists or palms. A hard object, maybe a rock, was thrown against one of the vans.

Salve Regina at the feet of Our Lady

The International Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima is visiting churches in Rhode Island, giving us the opportunity to see her on several occasions. After such an intense campaign at Brown University, we were able to pray at her feet once again and sing the Salve Regina. I could think of no better way to end the day.

RI-Caravan-Brown-05
The International Pilgrim Virgin statue of Our Lady of Fatima

"Are you with TFP Student Action?" asked a lady crossing the church parking lot with small children in tow. "Yes," I answered. "I'm following your tour, watching the videos, seeing what abuses you endure and I truly admire what you are doing. Your valor makes us so happy. And we love the bagpipes.

There may have been 250 people yelling at you today at Brown, but I want you to know that there are many more families like ours supporting you and praying for you. There are a lot of people following behind your tall banner."

Gathering her children around her, the lady continued: "These men are real Catholic men. They do what all Catholics should be doing. They are Catholic heroes. They stand on the street corners [for traditional marriage] and endure being spit upon and get things thrown at them. We need to give them our prayers and our thanks."

We thank Our Lady for granting us the grace to defend traditional marriage, certain that her victory predicted at Fatima will be accomplished: "Finally, my Immaculate Heart will triumph!"

Some students attempted to talk to you, but you refused any conversation. We were passively protesting- chanting, some girls did make out.

One of my friends to be exact, came up to you and told you that he's interracial and that in the 60's people used the same exact logic as you to justify why a black man could not marry a white woman and vice versa. He asked if you think that his existence is wrong, for by that same exact logic, you would also oppose interracial marriage.

If you come to places like Brown, who are accepting and provide safe space for anyone, no matter their religion or sexuality, you should be prepared to engage in dialogue, which you clearly didn't do.

Don't portray yourselves as martyrs during your time at Brown.

You hurt the LGBTQ teens here with your presence more than any of us hurt you.

Accepting? Really? So, the 250 screaming students were accepting and tolerant? What rally were you at?

To be accepting and open for debate, you have to employ a certain amount of mutual courtesy, and LOGICAL THINKING in order to have a dialogue.

Did you see the video? The TFP people where very happy to engage in dialogue. Yeah, I know; kind of hard when they had to talk over the howls and screams of a frenzied crowd, huh?

Screaming, spitting, and obscene gestures are not the usual method of debate; or any adult conversation, for that matter. And I don't think you could get by with this approach in ANY CLASSROOM at Brown, either.

If the LGBTQ crowd would fearlessly, and with conviction, have a respectful, adult conversation, they might see that someone loves them enough to not only listen to them, but who also loves them enough to tell the Truth.

A black man and and a white women is not the same as two people of the same sex, they are still 1 man and 1 women so it is silly to compare the colour of your skin with two people of the same sex. Homosexual vice is really about the desire to have sex with whoever you want regardless if it's right. Marriage is designed to bring children into the world and having a family where children will have both parents present. No, the students did not for one minute portray themselves as martyrs. They were standing up for God's word. Maybe the LGBTQ teens should know the truth before they destroy their lives. Sorry if they were hurt but sometimes it is better tell the truth even if it hurts.

As a Brown student, I strongly support your right to protest and I strongly support the right of all of the other students to counter-protest as well. However, I respected your intelligence far more before I read this pathetically slanted article.

You're so wrong Katarzyna. I know several people who talked to the protesters and everything went fine.

It's very obvious from pictures on the BlogDailyHerald that several students were able to talk to these guys. Not to mention, the kinds of things that I heard said by students after the protesters left were nothing short of hateful.

You comment and the anti-protest hurt the Christian community. Our faith is an integral part of our identity and if it's truly impossible to represent that faith at Brown, than you are also being discriminatory.

As far as I see it, these protests were peaceful and hardly hateful. Brown students turned it into hate.

Katarzna-Brown is hardly a place of tolerance of diversity. How many conservative Republicans teach there? one out of 10 professors? one out of a hundred? So few as to be virtually invisible.
I am in an interacial Catholic marriage and live in the Far East so I live the diversity that Brown students ostensibly support. Racial diversity comes from nature, homosexual conduct comes from the will, and if universally practiced would have led to the extinction of humanity. Clearly, there is a strong natural law argument against it. But what strikes me about the Brown students was an inability to think outside of left wing chants. Really not very impressive.

At one time an Ivy League education meant something special. I don't think so anymore. I think more people would have been surprised at the "student" reaction if it had been more intellectual rather than intolerant. Using the reference to Hitler, BTW is soooo overdone by the Left, except when used toward them and their "Brownshirt" tactics. (Not a bad pun, no?)

i must say i do not have the courage to go up against such hateful people like you guys did, that took guts, they cursed you all out and tried scaring you off and even tried destroying your things, and you just stayed calm and at peace, really, you have my support all the way,
hate the sin, love the sinner, you guys have the right idea,
if we believe that homosexual practices sends souls to hell, than how can we call ourselves Catholic if we do not try and help these people? they should be offended more at those who don't care if they go to hell...but all they care about, it seems, is doing what they "feel" is right, whereas we strive to do Gods will, disregarding our own, even at the price of our own lives.

May God bless and protect you all.

I am not a frenzied student....I am a 78 year old mother and grandmother. I give these young people so much credit for doing what they do in defending traditional marriage. God created Adam and Eve to multiply and procreate. Adam and Steve can no way create another life. I have homosexuals within my own family....and I love them as individuals, but in no way do I support or defend homosexuality. It is an abomination and against God's will. God bless these young people who go out and literally subject themselves to violence, as in the Brown case. The only vulgarity came from the pro-homosexual students who acted in disgust as opposed to the calm manor of the students promoting traditional marriage. God bless them in their endeavor, and I pray for them.

Define attack... What are you studying? Is not philosophy or any truth is assume. Rights can't be invented are natural. Where it does not fit there can be no right. It is not natural for shore and so It can be a right. Is a psychological state and so must be treated. That's why gay relations don't last and they can hate more than any. I am not surprised by the violence of the pro-homosexual protestors. Their behavior supports the truth that homosexuality is itself an act of violence and not love. Consider homosexual sex for a moment. It is violent and does harm to the body. There is no place in nature for the practice of homosexual behavior as it does not support the way our bodies functions. In fact, the practice confounds our physical design. Elementary biology makes it clear that our bodies are designed for heterosexual sex. Without heterosexuality, all species would cease to exist. Homosexuality leads to extinction while heterosexuality leads to a continuing of the species. I thought college students would have had the education to know these facts. Shame on Brown for not educated their students with factual science.

I'm italian. I must say that it's the same "tolerance" of leftist students against the Pope in La Sapienza University of Rome! This is a soft totalitarian regime. Besides, the girl (the one who said "assassin") maybe don't know the sense of words that she used. The phrase "you can't tell me what I do" isn't an argument against the TFP's position. Human being lives basing his life on transmitted knowledge: using girl's meter, neither the parents or the professors cannot tell us anything. This is an insane revolutionary mentality. Like that, we can't live! That isn't a logical speech, but only passionate and unproved position, without rationality.
Finally, juridically, not every desire is a right!
    TFP have my solidarity.

So who decided that "tolerance" only goes one way? Are not all viewpoints supposed to be rationally and calmly discussed--as is fitting for an academic environment? When we lower ourselves to mere name calling and spitting, we debase the great gift we have in thinking and speaking rationally (this goes for both sides of any issue). Come now humanity, we are better than that--surely we must at least get back to civil discourse and respect of one anothers opinions and not justify such behavior--as is witnessed in this video--that is not fitting for an academic environment of this calliber. May God grant these young men compassion and wisdom in this noble cause, and for all those who react in anger, may we pray for them as well.

I saw no one prepared to "engage in dialogue" on the video on the side of the LGBTQ supporters that wasn't already demonstrably angry and spiteful, only the opposite. Clearly, Brown is not accepting nor does it provide a safe space not matter a person's religion as Katarzna stated.

By the way Katarzna, God loves homosexuals but not homosexuality. This logic is nothing like the logic of segregation as you stated. God loves biracial children and homosexuals because He created them. He loves all of us - of course the existence of all human beings is good.

The liberal students were the ones who were hateful at this protest. They could not even defend their position with logic or peace. They had to resort to yelling and spitting, and trying to destroy your property. So much for a college education.

We are created man and woman for a reason. When that reason is ignored it is at the risk of why we are made man and woman. It is the survival of our species. I am glad I am 76, I will be dead before America and perhaps the world will be too evil to live. Someday, there has to be a limit, either by the creator's patience or the consequence of ignoring the reason why we are created man and woman.

Communism, cults, liberals, nazi's, fascists all share the trait of all-our-way-or-nothing "totalism" [See Robert J. LIfton, MD's epic study of Communists Brain Washing, Thought Reform and the Psychology of Totalism], so it is no surprise that they unmask their hatred like krystalnacht. They will "cease to exist" as it were outsude of the mob-think, so they fight for their lives like cornered animals when they meet the truth. Their desire for inclusion has been hanstrung from the git go by lies and psychology control tactics.

The featherhead students from Browd University just don't get it do they!..this has absolutely nothing to do with EQUALITY but all to do with common sense. You don't advance the population and the good of society by dabbling in UNNATURAL human behavior. That's why they get so nasty. They all think a gay's life is natural poor things. Very sad indeed!!

Oh my, those pro-glbt people sure don't have manners or respect do they. They really show their true colours, and i know not all gay people would act like that, but certainly anarchists/satanists and lost souls would act this way. May the Our Lady of Sorrows weep for them and their grievous sins, and may we as true Christians show them love in a peaceful way, that true marriage is betwixt a Man and a Woman in Holy Matrimony

With great admiration & appreciation for the young brave men defending traditional marriage. You all endured similar treatment as Our Lord endured during His Passion. God sees all this and He will reward all your efforts in the end. - Your campaign is very effective and that is the reason these revolutionaries react with violence and anger because the campaign demonstrates that most of society does not approve of their unnatural and sinful stance. You are speaking for all of us who reject this decadent anti family agenda, and encouraging many to remain faithful to the teachings of the Church. God Bless!

You are very brave to stand up for what is right against so many sheep who follow the homosexuality movement because of fear. There is so much hate demonstrated by those pro-homosexual supporters. They demand acceptance and equal rights, but they are trying to deprive decent young people of their rights to state their peaceful beliefs. Hateful display of fascist type behavior. You make me proud that there are young men who will stand up for our faith, People have gone so far away from the Christian priciples our nation was founded on. I am 78 years old and from the video of your demonstration I see the stories of old. The Catholic School used to teach with a sense of pride about the Crusades How wars were fought to protect Christians and free the Holy Land. How Christians faced danger to spread the Gospel and God's truths. This is what you are doing . God bless you brave young men and may St. Michael and all the most powerful of all Gods Angels Protect you in this work of bringing souls back to the truth. I am overwhelmed with sorrow at the thought of the many young people who have sank so deep into this evil that they try to nicely name a liberal political ideology. It is just rabid sinfulness and the devil is at the bottom of it.. You young men are Facing it like the Saints of old and I bless you for it.

The Homosexual Lobby as a whole (that includes the Brown students who support their view)are coming across more and more as the Nazi regime ... their absolute liars, they do not believe in freedom except for their own kind; they cannot have children as we all know that woman and woman or man and man cannot fulfil this all-important function for human progress, they do not respect other people's rights, they're a constant bad example to children by their foul behaviour ... the list is endless.

Time and time again, I see pro-homosexual marriage, pro-choice people, who claim to be on the side of equality and tolerance, showing NO tolerance for people who disagree with them. Instead, they shout cuss words and make profane hand gestures. How is that tolerant? They only want to tolerate people who agree with their agenda and think the rest of us deserve contempt. And the pro-life, pro-marriage side does nothing hateful to them - no spitting on them, cussing at them, only challenging them with questions and statements of fact. They think sharing facts is intolerant and therefore deserving of violence, rudeness, or threats. It is so ironic, and they don't even see it.

How very sad that homosexuals have chosen the easier way out. They are trying to change our laws and "adjust" the institution of Marriage because they do not fit into society and never will. However, with intense therapy, strong desire to change and prayer, they will become the person they were born to be- male or female. Not an unhappy blend. Also we need to know the importance of Marriage with the Husband (male) as head of the household and Wife (female). Children born to them need that figure in the household to pattern & develop themselves -girl to her mother, boy to his father. What a confused mess to have a male for a mother or female for a father. Their physical needs might be met but certainly not the psychological or moral. May the strength of OUR prayers keep America from being pulled under by liberal lawmakers and very confused citizens.

This is very typical of liberal behavior. They want you to be tolerant and are incable of being tolerant. They are only tolerant if you agree with them. The ACLU, which that girl wants to work for, is the single most reprehensible group in America and the prime reason our country is in decay and decline. Maybe these students should be studying instead of practicing violence and hatred that they are reportedly abhor. Homosexuals want acceptance and approval for their actions.Do they really believe the Catholic Church is going to accept and approveof their behavior? Nor should they. I did hear Father Corapi say " the Church and it's leaders does not hate the sinner but hates the sin". Anyway, may God and Our Blessed Lady continue to protect and bless you and thank you for fighting to uphold the morals of the Church and Our Lady.

The intolerance of alternative views is a very ugly truth when it comes to universities. Professors that don't support abortion, homosexual marriage, evolution, and the like, feel the need to conceal such beliefs in fear of retaliatory action. It's no wonder why some students with the same objections are too afraid to speak up. After watching this video of students' obstreperous conduct at Brown, who could blame them?

God bless your work. What you do encourages those students with a conscience to forge on in the system of Godless academia.

I was shocked by the way one young woman argued and said that "it is her stomach" and it is her right to choose if she wants an abortion. She is forgetting that nothing is ours. Everything is God's. What we were, what we are and what we will become are all in God's hands.

They could ony resort to name calling like :You are disgusting..." And that young "Lady" who is soon to be an attorney... she doesn't even know that a baby grows in a uterus not a stomach. The ignorance was astounding. Her emotional and angry tirade compared with the gentlemanly comportment of the TFP students speaks volumes. They can't bear the truth so they are intolerant. I think when you say tolerance is a one way street, you forget the hatred that groups have toward gays. Yes, it was wrong for these people to do such horrendous things to you, but with people like Fred Phelps and people getting attacked and murdered being gay, I'm not surprised that a minority of the gay activists are taking a page out of Malcolm X's book and starting to attack back.

I might not agree with your stance on all this, but if you ever are at my school in the west, I'd be willing to defend your freedom of speech no problem. It's what allows discussion to flourish when both sides are of non-violent behaviors. Honestly IV leagues are a bunch of spoiled rich kids anyway; no wonder they acted so rudely.

WE didn't do anything to them when THEY were out there with THEIR flags and signs, but when WE do the same thing for OUR cause, WE get attacked.

I'm confused... how is this, in any way shape or form, logical???

"It became amply clear that free speech at Brown University is not free and that the opposition would do everything they could to silence our message of truth [...]."

This assertion is incorrect. Free speech is the right to put your idea out into the "marketplace" to allow them to be debated and discussed by the people. You did that by holding your rally and distributing information that explained your position. Once you put your message out there, people can decide whether or not to accept or reject it.

Suppression of free speech occurs when the government decides to censor your message simply because they disagree with the message or the idea may be unpopular. Thus, only the government can violates the free speech rights of TFP.

The students at Brown simply responded to the idea that TFP put into the marketplace. They choose to reject your idea as one they didn't agree with, but they didn't trample on the First Amendment rights of TFP.

How sad that today so many take evil for good and good for evil. Your brave and courageous stand is not un=noticed by those who believe the truth as you do, and by those who do not. Your witness encourages others who must soon decide which side they are on. And most importantly, all is seen by God.

This was a terribly vulgar display by Brown University students. An Ivy League school? It is unbelievable! They couldn't even debate logically. They could ony resort to name calling like :You are disgusting..." And that young "Lady" who is soon to be an attorney... she doesn't even know that a baby grows in a uterus not a stomach. The ignorance was astounding. Her emotional and angry tirade ... speaks volumes. They can't bear the truth so they are intolerant. What a dreadful reflection of student life.

Typical of the butt plug mafia.... violent attacks against those who disagree with them. Tolerance?? Homosexuals don't even know what it means. The homosexual "thought police" think they have a right to lie and intimidate. Homosexuals never feel compelled to confine their agenda to that of truth or reality. Tolerance becomes a crime when applied to an evil like homosexual behavior.... it is unhealthy and immoral. I gave a pint of blood recently and couldn't help but notice they wouldn't accept blood from men who have sex with men. The chance of spreading disease is far too great. Homosexuals have a total lack of compassion for other homosexuals and society. They know they're spreading contagious diseases but don't give a damn. Homosexuals should have to pay higher health insurance premiums.

And for the record; EVERYONE already has the right to get married... ANY man can marry any woman he chooses and ANY woman can marry any man she chooses, with the usual exceptions for age, relationship, etc... there is no discrimination or loss of rights; the FACT is that they are not simply seeking equality, they want a special right.

They cry for "liberty", but they want to persecute us. And when someone publish a video showing the truth, they just censor it.

To Zachariah, the young man 'spat-on'
Words from a favorite song of encouragement:
    Isais 43:2-3; Lk 6:20:
    'Be Not Afraid'
    by:Robert J. Dufford, S.J.:
    (slightly shortened for space)

VS.1: You shall wander far in safety thought you do not know the way....
VS.2: If you stand before the pow'r of hell and death is at your side, know that I am with you through it all....
VS.3: Blest are you that weep and mourn, for one day you shall laugh.
AND IF WICKED TONGUES INSULT AND HATE YOU, ALL BECAUSE OF ME:

    B-L-E-S-S-E-D, B-L-E-S-S-E D--ARE Y-O-U ! ! !
Carry with you, a picture of the face of Christ, crucified, as encouragement !
Your reward may not be great here, but in Heaven !
God Bless and Strengthen you, and your friends in what you are doing for Him !

If this is the reaction to doing good, you MUST be doing something RIGHT !

I am appalled to think that pro-homosexuals would be so crass as to spit in someone's face. TFP came peacefully to demonstrate; however, the pro-homos took offense at the words of God himself. We need to keep on defending marriage as being between a man & a woman, or else this country will be in worse trouble than it is now! Also, our freedom of speech is being violated. Our forefathers fought for the right of free speech; now, more than ever, it is being threatened. Let us pray for those who oppose God's way of life and His commandments. Those who don't understand what it means to hold onto traditional values, need to know that they are crossing a very dangerous line. God, help us in defending traditional marriage. May we never give up the fight.

..."looked American"? wow. Way to be ignorant. If half the protesters believed in what they say they believe they wouldn't have been out and about protesting and judging other people.

These poor gays have been persecuted their entire lives. maybe they are tired of it.

I'm for marriage equality. There will always be gays in our community, and smothering their right to marry is not saving your children. You are making it worse.

EDITOR'S COMMENT: What's so difficult to understand about "looked American"? It means the student was not a foreigner studying at an American campus.

Regarding marriage "equality," no one can change reality. Homosexual unions will never be marriages, even if the law unjustly condones behavior that violates nature.

Don't fail to mention the natural order - the natural law. They (opponents of traditional marriage) have had us pinned knowing we are too polite to be specific about sexual organs, their proper use and how homosexual persons pervert their use. They say, "A person should have the right to marry the person they love".
But we're not speaking about a same sex friendship ... it's good for men to have good men friends, and it's good for women to have good women friends. No, it's about taking the natural good of our human bodies and persons, the natural good of the complementarity of male and female, men and women, seen in the human bodies themselves and perverting the use of our bodies and sexual (reproductive) organs, using them for pleasure (and sometimes power/domination)with someone of the same sex, contrary to nature, instead of the pure love between a man and woman designed to express and deepen their union and produce new life, in marriage which is exclusive and lifelong.

This isn't about the right to protest or free speech

A protest against people who are overweight is a protest against these people right to eat too much food.

A protest against anything involves one taking a position of asking others to restrict what they do. The idea that a protest cannot occur because it seeks to condemn someone's behavior such as homosexuality is thus not the issue. You obviously want to limit these people right to express their moral and Christian beliefs.

The right of free expression in public are rights granted by the constitution.

So your view is we cannot protest against clubbing of baby seals because it will restrict the native population right to their seal hunt? So one is intolerant of seal hunters? Let's not be silly here.

So you now saying there is to be no free right of expression on campus? Your hypocrisy on this matter is laughable.

We're doing well at our school; what you met there at Brown seems as if it came from a different universe. I suppose in fact it did.

Thank you for standing for the Morals of the Ten Commandments for not responding negatively as you were being harassed, verbally assaulted...even physically. Live always the Great Commandment:Love God with your whole heart, whole mind, whole spirit and love your neighbor as God loves you. In the Bible, homosexual acts are recognized as sinful. Homosexuality is not acquired by genes. It is acquired by Satan. People need to understand that Satan rules all [immoral] sexual pleasures: be they homosexual or heterosexual. God is Pure and we are all called to be Saints: to live a pure and chaste life. Don't take my word for it, go to www.holylove.org and read the messages September 21, 2000 the 2nd of two for date.

Robert George has made this point over and over. It is really quite simple. Nobody during our evil days of racial discrimination doubted that a black man COULD marry a white woman. But there were people who wanted to make sure it didn't happen. In other words, there was no definition of marriage at stake, none. THAT was true marriage discrimination. What the gays want is an entirely new definition of marriage, one unheard of in any society before our own times. The comparison with interracial marriage is one that my black friends would find quite offensive. It also evinces historical ignorance. "Race" in the pseudo-scientific sense only became an issue in recent centuries. Nobody knows what "race" Saint Augustine came from, because in ancient Rome and in the Christian Church nobody thought that skin color or facial features mattered for anything important.

So, ill-educated Brownians: show how the sexual revolution conduces to the common good...

I just want to say that I agree with same sex marriage because they should have the same rights as the rest of us. That being said, i do commend these people for standing up for what they believe in, even if it differs from my opinions. I have nothing against peaceful protests/assembly since that is one of our rights as americans, but the way the pro-gay students reacted was totally uncalled for, and youtube needs to put the video back up - there is nothing wrong with the video, other than showing how intolerant some people are of opposing viewpoints.

We Christians are so thankful for what you young people are doing. It is what Christ expects of all of us... standing up for what is right.

The person who wrote in Spanish made a good point: every one of those pro-gay "rights" students came from a man and a woman. Although I have heard of gay men impregnating gay women so that they can bring up children with their agenda. Not only is it unethical but absolutely immoral. More and more unethical procedures are taking place in the world and have become acceptable to so many of our young people... The universities have played a large role in confusing our children in distinguishing what is right from wrong. Thank you for what you do and you will be in my prayers.

But the definition of marriage in the beginning of the world is only between a man and a woman. Now, people are re-defining it to suit themselves. I don't see the TFP's message as taking any rights away from the gay community. This is about the sacrament of Marriage people! I have no problem with same sex relationships. That is the individuals' preference. But you can't call their relationship a marriage. It's a partnership or a commitment but not a marriage. God Bless the TFP for spreading the message.

To the young pro-abortion young woman in the clip professing "It's my belly". Jesus in a recent apparition when presented with this argument stated. "Your bodies are not your own, they belong to Me." And I have a confession to make, I love men. I love my dad, I love my brothers, I love my friends. I DON'T lust for their bodies. The real problem with these students is that they don't want equal rights. They want SPECIAL rights. I don't mind their (the students) protesting. But they should've been just as peaceful about it and asked for dialogue. It would've been given. They have yet to see that if we make one thing permissible then EVERYTHING becomes permissible.

I was not surprised by the video but suspect it was taken down by YouTube because someone complained that it involved hate speech pointed at homosexuals and against the TFP. Obviously, the video shows an opposite view and would be detrimental toward the homosexual community and thus would be counter to their agenda. The Bible is clear in its condemnation of homosexual behavior, There are many verses relating to the sinful nature of the homosexual actions. As for marriage - it is not a right! It is a SACRAMENT! Instituted by GOD not man! It is a covenant relationship not a contract for litigation. Equality is a GOD given truth of our very existence. We are all GOD's children and thus equal in His eyes. But we destroy that relationship when we CHOOSE to act upon OUR desires in conflict with GOD's will for us. The homosexual act is not a natural human act, it is animalistic and serves only the pleasure senses of the human psychy. It is not the pro-creative marriage act meant by GOD.

Blessings upon all who support TFP and the true marriage of man and woman. Brown Univ. shows its lack of true education in the one woman who kept referring to a right to her stomach. I agree but the baby forms in the uterus of the woman not the stomach. Obviously, Brown does not require basic biology classes for their students. The level of intelligence is also manifested in the language of the attackers. Words are meaningful and witness to the hatred and the intolerance of the homosexual community against the Catholics and Christians who are willing to stand up for God's Law. Catholics and Christians have the protection of the same civil laws but they know they will ultimately answer to the higher Law. St. Michael defend us against the snares of the evil ones. Jesus, Mary and Joseph watch over TFP members. God grant them the graces to persevere. Holy Spirit give them courage and fortitude to stand tall in the face of persecution.

The philosophical point that often seems to be missed is that tolerance of intolerance is a contradiction; it amounts to cowardice. You chose to seek out a place where there are many gay students and teachers; in your mind, you may be 'defending' marriage, but ultimately, you are attacking friends, brothers, mentors, loved ones. Those who reacted to you are not 'pro-homosexual'--they are pro-human being, pro-friend, pro-family, and pro-human dignity. The tolerance they seek is simply to be left alone, free to live their lives and find happiness; the 'tolerance' you seek is freedom to attack, spread irrationality and hatred, and legally take away their rights. Effectively, you desire intolerance to be tolerated by others--and then seem surprised when you are met by an emotional and negative response. Though the students ought to have responded with more dignity, do not pretend not to have targeted a place specifically because it was rife with the very people you seek to persecute.

God bless the young men of TFP for putting up with these injustices. It is highly ironic that when the pro-homosexual group demonstrated at Brown the week before everything was peaceful. Those who didn't agree with them let them do as they pleased.

Here we have a group standing up for morality, according to the Bible and the Catholic Church, and people are all up in arms over THEIR display of intolerance??? The Brown U. agitators throughout the video were clearly the ones who were intolerant and angry.

How dare they try to silence TFP's right to freedom of speech through bullying and intimidation. I am so disappointed with the Brown U students. If I was an administrator there, I sure wouldn't have wanted this video displayed on Youtube.

I wish this video was still on YouTube so I could thumbs down it. You probably won't even post this comment because you are moderating these posts and will not allow anybody contrasting your belief to speak their opinion.

Shame on your hate. I hope you know that every member of your group is going to hell. You don't understand what you are doing.

Homosexuals do not understand love but the number of people opposing homosexuality. Manage more people all ages to join TFP to defeat pro homosexual movement.

I am 14 years old. I support God's idea of the family, which, by the way, makes sense according to Natural Law! I am the pro-family generation!

I think this shows the importance of attending a Catholic college-that is, one that actually follows Church teaching.

It's important to say that homosexuality is not determined by genes, like a lot of people say. If you are homosexual and don't have any children, how can you pass on the homosexual "gene"? Clearly, either it (homosexuality)is determined by environmental factors (conditioning from the liberal media or the absence of good parent figures), or else homosexuality would have ceased to be present thousands of years ago!

Fight the good fight. God is on TFP's side.

"It's my stomach and I can do what I want with it!"

Like some overtired 6 year old. So apoplectic she's forgotten her anatomy. Too funny.

You need to return regularly, bearing witness. Their own "faith" in equality is so weak, so groundless, they can't stand your refusal to submit much less a real challenge to it.

Yep, this is what "professors" are teaching your kids. Hate whatever you don't like and make a big fuss about it.

What a stupid girl. It's not about whether it's her body or not, that's obvious. It's about whether ones cares for life and the unborn child, which she clearly does not. Selfishness is the mark of the Godless.

我是一个来自中国大陆的华人。 在我看来,这个录像很明显的显示谁是文明人,谁是野蛮人。I am a Chinese from mainland China(we do have our own problems there, though not about gay marriage). this video clearly shows who are civilized and who are less civilized, or uncivilized. I laugh at the quality and intelligence of those counter protesting students.
    two thumbs up, TFP!

Keep up the good work TFP. Words just cannot describe how I feel knowing I am not alone in this fight.
Those scumbags probably don't even know what bigotry is. It's nothing more than a defense mechanism they use.
