By the time the sun rose on the morning of May 15th, members of the American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property (TFP) were already at work, preparing for the day’s activities. Our vehicles were soon rolling to their destination: The heart of New York City – the Bronx. Our purpose: to join a march for traditional marriage organized by State Sen. Ruben Diaz (D-Bronx) and other pro-family leaders.
"We support traditional marriage between one man and one woman."
Under a light drizzle, we disembarked at 149th St and 3rd Ave and assembled the Holy Choirs of Angels Corps marching band. Invited to lead off the march, we positioned ourselves accordingly. Soon, thousands of traditional marriage supporters surged forward to the sound of God Bless America, holding signs that read: “Adam & Eve = Family,” and “Don’t Change Marriage.”
As the TFP band played stirring marches and patriotic music, people lined the streets and leaned out of windows to see the parade. Although a few passers-by were quite vocal in their opposition, the overall response was positive.

After marching the twelve blocks to the Bronx County Courthouse located on the Grand Concourse, a line-up of speakers addressed thousands of people from the court house steps, voicing their commitment to the cause of marriage. The national anthem was sung followed by a rendition of God Bless America by the TFP band. In his speech, Sen. Diaz mentioned how he had received death threats from pro-homosexual advocates for simply defending the institution of God-ordained marriage. Other speakers included Fr. Peter West, Associate Director of Priests for Life, and Brian Brown, President of the National Organization for Marriage.
The TFP band kicked off the march with patriotic music.
Our banner, visible to the assembled thousands, boldly proclaimed: “God’s Marriage = One Man + One Woman.” Our flyer, 10 Reasons Why Homosexual “Marriage” is Harmful and Must Be Opposed, was very well received in both English and Spanish.
For the good of the family, let us continue to pray that more and more souls will stand up and peacefully oppose the homosexual agenda, especially in its latest effort to impose same-sex “marriage” on the state of New York.

It was so encouraging to see Sen. Diaz stand up against liberalism as a Democrat - that he willing to stand up against what many in his party or for. I am sure there are many Democrats with higher values than what we have been led to believe that party stands for. God bless those standing up for God's Word which has stood the test of time for truth.
It is very encouraging to have a Democrat be against the liberal agenda of his party - I am sure that is the case with many others. What I believe about the Democrat party right now however is that the majority is for this very liberal, anti-God, anti-Israel, pro-abortion as well as pro-homosexual agenda. May God's Word be lifted up as Truth for which it has stood the test of time.
Having lived in San Francisco for 10 years I saw how the homosexual revolution had taken precedence over common decency. It was sad that moral Christians did not stand up for their faith in fear of ridicule from the pro-Gay community. I am heartened to see a pro-true marriage coalition rising.

Well, I can't believe this rudeness and hand gestures from persons passing by with a thrown bottle??? What's up with that??? But, lets focus on the positive, marriage is a difficult union during difficult economic times, but, it is still worth it. I also believe that once a marriage is anything but 1 male/1 female = union there may be real problems, i.e., polygamy, bigamy, polyandry and for the basic human soul/species to survive it should have to complimentary opposite sexes to help with gender raising of children. The term, 'Marriage' has enjoyed a specific meaning throughout the history of Mankind, wherein that unique union between a man and a woman has been accepted by virtually every relgion, (including pagan persuasion), as the bulwark of Society. Same-sex unions have also existed for eons, (and in diverse cultures). But now, the proponents of this aberrant lifestyle, in their search for universal approval, are mounting a serious attack on the very essence of Marriage. This cannot ---and will not--- stand in the eyes of God! Eventually, it will ---and must--- engulf everyone; and those of right mind, (of any political persuasion), need to stand up to the question.

Keep up the good work. The problem is that the majority of people in the US want to keep traditional marriage. Every time a ballot measure has been put to the people, they have voted to keep traditional marriage, even here in California. But, when the Attorneys General, President and Governor refuse to defend what the people want, ie DOMA and Prop 8, what is to be done? I urge you all to read "After the Ball" if you can find a copy.
This sad situation is world wide and also gaining momentum in Australia....God help us all with the decadence that is being thrust into our lives by very forceful influences (the media) and people in high places. To them I say : Be careful- don't mess with GOD and most of all HE is a GOD of truth and justice. We all need to increase in prayer.

I thank God for all the people who were at the demonstration. I chose not to go because of health reasons. I got goose pimples watching the videos because the fight against evil today requires heroism for everyone. We must all be heroes today. If marriage is corrupted even more (living together and divorce have corrupted it too) then allowing for 'gay' marriage will be the final nail in the coffin and society will suffer for letting the natural and sacred order of God's design for marriage end.
