What Does America Think of Socialist Healthcare?

Lancaster, PA: TFP Student Action volunteers Elias Bartel and Kenneth Murphy hold signs opposing socialist health care reform.
While the national debate over healthcare reform continues to rage, TFP Student Action volunteers campaigned today in Lancaster, Penn., alerting the public to the gravity of the situation and the dire results that would occur upon the implementation of socialized medicine in America.

Distributing a TFP statement published in The Washington Times, TFP members pointed out the blatant socialist gist of the bill, reminding passersby of the turmoil caused by socialist healthcare in other countries where it has been implemented.

Selecting a busy intersection, TFP volunteers unfurled their large red trademark banner and American flag. Waving signs reading “Honk Against Socialism” and “Honk Against Socialist Healthcare” and “Abortion is not healthcare” and a banner supporting true freedom, they engaged the public.  The response was highly encouraging.  At the end of the campaign, it was clear that Americans cherish their freedom and are not willing to accept a compromise with socialism.  So many people were more than happy to support the TFP demonstration with thumbs up, waves, smiles, and yes, many, many loud honks.
