Loyola University Maryland describes its mission as “a Jesuit Catholic university committed to the educational and spiritual traditions of the Society of Jesus and to the ideals of liberal education and the development of the whole person. Accordingly, the University will inspire students to learn, lead, and serve in a diverse and changing world.”

This commitment to Jesuit tradition, however, clashes with information on the university's online Career Center, which features the radical pro-abortion group National Organization for Women (NOW) as an "internship" opportunity.

Loyola's internships page also includes a live link to the National Organization of Women, an institution founded in 1966 that promotes radical feminism, homosexuality and abortion. The pro-abortion group's mission includes "championing abortion rights, reproductive justice along with other women’s health issues; opposing racism; fighting discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity in all areas” (our emphasis).

The intern positions offered by NOW give students the opportunity to advance these causes by “organiz[ing] and attend[ing] Congressional and U.S. Supreme Court hearings, press conferences, demonstrations, and rallies” as well as by “[w]riting blog posts about current feminist and social justice issues.”

Over the years, the National Organization for Women has attacked the Catholic Church and Her moral teachings.

For example:

1. NOW attacked the Little Sisters of the Poor in 2014, placing these good Catholic nuns on their "Dirty 100" list for opposing abortion and Obamacare (Source: Fox News)

2. NOW director attacked the U.S. Catholic Bishops in a press release for their pro-life stance. (Source: NOW)

3. NOW attacked Catholic pro-life hero Joseph Scheidler with protracted lawsuits, which NOW finally lost. (Source: Pro-Life Action League)

4. NOW attacks God's marriage between 1 man and 1 woman. (Source: NOW)

In response, TFP Student Action is launching a peaceful petition, urging the president of Loyola University Maryland, Fr. Brian F. Linnane, S.J., to take NOW off the list of “internships" and ensure that the university does not grant credits to students for supporting the Culture of Death.
